Yoga in the morning


Yoga in the morning is such a fantastic way to start your day. Naturally we tend to stretch in the morning when we wake up, so why not go for it a little more and stretch yourself out further with a few rounds of Surya Namaskar?


Physically the sequence covers everything and is very energising. If done with complete focus it can be extremely calming mentally. Spiritually Surya Namaskar is important. In essence we are giving thanks the to Sun and basking in its transformative powers.


In class we often warm up with Surya Namaskar. At times we really pick up the pace and use it to get our heart rates up.
